3 key moments of 2010 season

Red Bulls cars crash in Turkey – In a very bizarre incident the two Red Bulls cars crashed during Turkish GP. Vettel went to overtake as he believed that he was faster of the two cars. But the end effect didn’t suit any of the Red Bull teammate.

Ferrari team orders at German GP – Massa pulled over towards the end of the race to let Alonso past. However the stewards imposed a fine of  $100,000 on the Ferrari team.

Red Bulls’ reliability – Vettel could have wrapped up the WDC a few races ago had he had greater reliability. The car picked up 14 poles and 8 wins in the season but still suffered with reliability issues.

Webber claims first career pole at German GP

Mark Webber sustained a broken leg in cycling accident before the start of the season. He recuperated. Now Mark Webber claims in Nurburgring today his first career pole. Australian who has never won a grand prix in his career will have a golden chance tomorrow to claim a victory.  Webber drove a sensational last lap to win this pole just after his teammate put on a contention at this position. Moments later two Brawn GP cars split these two drivers and now Vettel will start tomorrow at fourth place.

Intermittent rain throughout the second and third sessions made tyre choice and timing of runs absolutely critical.

Force India had their best day ever when Sutil qualified for Q3.  He will start tomorrow at seventh place in the grid. 🙂

With unexpectedly cold conditions here in Germany, the choice of tyres is going to be very tough tomorrow for the race. Most teams are really struggling to get the hard tyre to work, especially the Brawns and quite a few drivers would probably prefer some rain so that they are not obliged to use both types of slick tyre. – James Allen
