Yesterday, we witnessed a terrifying crash in the opening lap of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It was between Michael Schumacher and Vitantonio Liuzzi. Thankfully both emerged unhurt from the mess.

Red Bulls cars crash in Turkey – In a very bizarre incident the two Red Bulls cars crashed during Turkish GP. Vettel went to overtake as he believed that he was faster of the two cars. But the end effect didn’t suit any of the Red Bull teammate.

Ferrari team orders at German GP – Massa pulled over towards the end of the race to let Alonso past. However the stewards imposed a fine of  $100,000 on the Ferrari team.

Red Bulls’ reliability – Vettel could have wrapped up the WDC a few races ago had he had greater reliability. The car picked up 14 poles and 8 wins in the season but still suffered with reliability issues.

 

Putin drives a Formula One car!

The Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin, drove a Formula One race car and reached a speed of nearly 240 km/h round a track near St Petersburg.
When he finished the drive and was told his maximum speed, he smiled and said in English: “For the first time, it’s good.”

  • If Alonso wins in Brazil, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than fourth
  • If Alonso is second, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than eighth, Hamilton higher than fourth or Vettel wins
  • If Alonso is third, he will be champion unless Webber finishes in the top 10, Hamilton in the top four and Vettel in the top three
  • If Alonso does not finish on the podium, it will go to Abu Dhabi
  • Button can only stay in contention if he finishes first or second but is out if Alonso finishes in the top six or if Webber is in the top two
  • Vettel must beat Alonso on track to stay in contention
