Force India snatches pole out of blue at Spa

An amazing qualifying session and what a grid for tomorrow’s Belgian Grand Prix.

As ITV says, “Giancarlo Fisichella pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Formula 1 history by putting minnows Force India on pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix.” And BBC says, “Why not abandon qualifying for next year and simply pull the grid line-up out of a hat. I reckon there’d be no difference to today! Unbelievable!”.

The second in the grid will be Jarno Trulli of Toyota and third Nick Heidfeld of BMW. Quite a grid! Barrichello, Kubica and Raikkoned will follow the first three on the grid.

And Button, Hamilton and Alonso didn’t even qualify for Q3. Badoer had second horrible weekend in a row and will struggle to keep his place in Ferrari at Monza.
